Rarely seen as a single malt, this independent bottling of Balmenach comes from Douglas Laing. Distilled in November 2005, it spent 10 years in a single refill hogshead before being bottled in May 2016.
Nose: Mixed peels, green apple, just hints of fennel and treacle.
Palate: Orchard fruit, a little crumble, orange zest and toffee apple.
Finish: Plenty of pep and fruit with supporting spice.
