An indie bottling of Speyside single malt, matured in a single Sherry butt for 8 years. This citrus-and-toffee-led dram was distilled in autumn 2005, matured in cask 10437 for 8 long years and bottled by Douglas Laing in summer 2014. It has been released as part of Douglas Laing's Provenance collection.
Nose: Starts with tofu scented, caramelized biscuits and gentle sweetness. There is a slight spice character before changing to that of the oranges flambe.
Taste: Dry spices, dark honey and intense oak "oak" character.
Finish: Long. Preserves the flavor and flavor of spices, almost to the end, when it passes into a gentle character of an orange.
