An intriguing bottle of single malt Scotch whisky from Miltonduff here, distilled in their Lomond stills (which weren't used for all that long). This was distilled in November 1979 and aged in a bourbon barrel for 36 years before being bottled under the Mosstowie name by Signatory in January 2016. 178 bottles were produced.
Nose: Thick with cereal and brioche, a touch of oiliness to it too.
Palate: Cacao nibs, old oak furniture, mint leaf and a touch of ester-y fruit.
Finish: Mango and orange, with barley right near the end.
