A 2006 vintage independent bottling from Speyside's Glenlivet, matured in a first-fill sherry cask.
Bottled as part of Signatory Vintage's Un-Chillfiltered Collection (and therefore at natural colour also), this was distilled 17 October 2006. This single cask expression then matured in first-fill sherry butt #901043 for over nine years (almost ten) before it was bottled 8 September 2016.
This has a beautiful rich golden bronze colour, which is particularly evident when sat alongside other natural coloured expressions from the same range.
One of the world's top two selling single malts thanks to their prolific official bottlings, independent expressions from Speyside's Glenlivet are fleeting but often exceptional. With the shackles thrown off, their spirit shows fantastic depth and complexity - particularly in sherry casks.
